Will you join us?
The Virtual Walk is designed to give those people who live in areas where the Walk for 1 in 100 has not yet reached a chance to support CHD research and programs in their communities!
Join us as we walk for the 1 in 100 children and adults thriving with congenital heart disease (CHD) across the country. The Adult Congenital Heart Association is devoted to supporting the full lifespan of the millions of people impacted by CHD. In 2019, we will host walks in 14 communities to raise money for outreach, education, research and more.
Our events were created to empower all of those who were born with a heart defect, their loved ones and the medical community that cares for them. We’re here to empower adults to take an active role in their cardiac care, to educate parents on the lifelong specialized care their young son or daughter will need, and to support young adults through the transition to adult CHD care. We are here for the person with a newly diagnosed heart defect, as well as the patient who’s seen it all, and everything in between.
Event Information:
Virtual Walks are independent fundraising campaigns that can happen at anytime or anywhere regardless of whether there is an official Walk for 1 in 100 happening in your area. Anyone can take part in a virtual walk! By registering as a virtual walker, you will be given a personal fundraising page to collect donations from family and friends. How you choose to participate in a virtual walk is completely up to you. Be creative! Invite your family and friends to walk around your local park and have a picnic. Run or walk a local race and use your fundraising page to collect donations to benefit CHD research and programs. The possibilities are endless. Register yourself or your team today and get started!
